The total number of oral and maxillofacial infections increased between 2014 and 2018, with the number of ESKAPE pathogens dramatically increasing from 0 to 36. ESKAPE, Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter species.
